After spending a few days at Fort Yargo State Park in Georgia, we headed to Calhoun Falls State Park on Lake Russell in South Carolina. It’s an impressive 318 acres state park with large sites and beautiful water views on the lakefront sites.

Joining us on the trip was Tom & Pam and Doreen and Mike. We had some campfires, did a little kayaking and each got a turn trying out Mike’s new e-kayak. Greg and Lisa even joined us for a low country boil on Saturday night. The rain came in unexpectedly on Sunday and made for a pretty dreary last day. We made the most of it and were able to make breakfast under the awning and were able to sneak some longer walks in with Dolls.

Overall it was a great trip and we would definitely go back. The only issue we found was that our internet service was nonexistent using our Tmobile and Pepwave combo. We were able to use the Verizon hotpot on our phones, though.
